News KEW Supplies Gear Wheels To Baldmin
KEW Foundries has successfully supplied its first SG Iron 4205mm
Helical Gear Wheel to Baldmin Engineering Works who in turn have
machined and delivered it to the Mopani Copper Mines in Zambia.
Presently being machined at Baldmin’s site is 1 x 4990mm Girth Gear
Wheel and 2 x 3692mm Spur Gear Wheels, also supplied by KEW, scheduled
for delivery later this year. KEW Foundries Finds Success With Development Of Largest Sheave Wheel
KEW Foundries, Africa’s only manufacturer of large cast safety
critical headgear sheave wheels, has developed its largest sheave wheel
to date. The company has designed and begun manufacturing a 21,5 foot
(6,5 metre diameter) sheave wheel for use as part of a cluster
arrangement. KEW Supplies Sheave Wheels For Impala Shaft
KEW Foundries, previously known as Kimberley Engineering Works (KEW)
is one of South Africa’s oldest foundry and engineering works. It was
recently awarded a R10-million contract for the supply of 47 sheave
wheels to be used during the sinking process of the Main, Vent and
Refrigeration Shafts at Impala Platinum 17 shaft. KEW Cameron Pumps Successfully Delivered
KEW Foundries – one of the only companies that produce the Cameron
Pump – successfully supplied 26 pumps to Johannesburg-based ROSOND,
comprising primarily of air motor pumps, and in a separate order,
delivered two smaller pumps for use on the Impala 17 shaft. KEW Foundries Supplies Large Castings To Gunric Valves
KEW Foundries has completed a deal with Gunric Valves for the supply
of body and disc castings for a large order of valves destined for Saudi
Arabia. Previously known as Kimberley Engineering Works (KEW), KEW

Following a management buy-out in 2007, Kimberley Engineering Works
(KEW) has announced that it is updating its corporate image. In addition
